First details of Battlefield 3 from Gameinformer:
1. We have Jets
2. We can go prone
3. 64-player multiplayer on PC
4. Frostbite 2.0 Engine (Bad Company 2) is used
Gameinformer has published these first details of the game which are very interesting if we compare them to Bad Company 2 where we don't have jets and can't prone either. In BF3 you play US Marines in the US, Europe and the Middle-East around some streets, metropolitan downtowns, and open, vehicle-friendly landscapes where you can fight your war.
Now a first teaser trailer was released by EA on the Battlefield 3 homepage but it was leaked this morning on Youtube. Battlefield 3 is the 12th Battlefield game, not including expansions and will be released Fall 2011.

wow 64 players on a server! That's insane! I wonder how they are going to manage lag lol

The cover art is getting style in terms of design though, I swear I've seen at least 3 other games with the whole "Soldier ominously walking down towards the camera" view. Hopefully they change it.
Used to be a big BF2 player but then kinda forgot about the game. This has me amped to play again though

The game will probably be sweet but it will probably be a rehash of all the other games currently on the market.
Why do 1st-shooter combat-related games always have that one lone marine walking towards (or away) from us on the box cover?
I'm not normally a fan of FPS's, but this looks remarkable.

This would be awesome to play, bigger maps, 64 players online.... it will be epic....
I'll be playing this as long as they tone down the lighting on particle effects... some maps I can hardly see anything because of how light interacts with dust in the air.

Definitely excited for the drop of BF3, I think BF 2 definitely blew modern warfare out of the water.
