Cross-Play, party features and near for the new PlayStation VITA are explained in this trailer.
The "Near" feature lets the owner see who else is playing around him on his VITA, also shown in this trailer are short gameplay scenes from different games like Hotshots Golf, Uncharted and LittleBigPlanet.

Very interesting, liking little big planet it would be pro on a handheld

Still not convined of the Vita, since this is not a new feature, you enter to the Wireless room of Pokemon games and find people... so many it's scary
Yeh video is down but I am actually looking forward and keen to see how the PS Vita works out.
