The game is only during beta phase but has already this huge amount of players, the exact release date is set to November 11, 2011. For people who don't know Minecraft: You can place blocks to build anything you want but the first thing should be a simple shelter because at night monsters come out.
If you want to purchase Minecraft, it's now on 25% sale due to beta phase. So the current price is 14,95€.
