[Guide] Skyrim - How To Get Married

After the guides How to become a Werewolf and the How to level-up skills super fast, now you'll learn how to marry someone in The Elder Scrolls 5 - Skyrim. Yes, marriage.

In general, the player is able to marry everyone in the world of Skyrim. Even same sex marriage is possible so if you play a man and might have met a nice man, you can marry him! Here is the tutorial how to do a heterosexual or homosexual marriage:

1. Go to Riften and look for Maramal. He's either in the Temple of Mara, located in the east of the city, or in the Bee and Barb inn.

2. Now talk to Maramal, choose the option 'I wanted to know more about the Temple of Mara'. Afterwards, ask him about a wedding, choosing 'I could have a wedding at the temple?'.

3. He'll explain the marriage to you, but you can skip the whole dialog if you want. The important thing is to buy the Amulet of Mara thereafter, it costs 200 gold.

4. Last thing to do is to find someone you love. Or just want to marry, however, as said before, you can actually marry almost every NPC in the world. After buying the amulet, the dialog option for a marriage is unlocked and you just have to convince him or her that you are the right one.

5. If you've found someone, talk to Maramal. But remember: The time to start a ceremony takes about 24 hours. You'll have your last chance to cancel it during the ceremony itself.
By the way: As guests, the NPCs that you have completed quests for may appear there.

Its not JUST the deed of getting the golden claw, its every deed that you do in skyrim. anything you do will make people like you or dislike you. you could go to any town and do a quest for a chick or something and then most of the time you can ask the person to marry you
